Samsung has started sending out replacement units of the Galaxy Note 7.
Samsung has started to send out replacement units of the Galaxy Note 7 in the United States. The South Korean tech giant promised to fix the issue related to exploding batteries after issuing a recall and send out new units as soon as possible.
According to Droid Life, Best Buy has received the first batch of Galaxy Note 7 replacement units. Customers have been emailed that the units are now available. However, their availability currently appears to be limited to Best Buy stores. Best Buy is offering the replacement units on a first-come first-served basis. Other carriers and retailers are expected to receive the Galaxy Note 7 units soon.

At Best Buy, customers can allegedly pick any color of the replacement device that is available.
While some wait for their replacement units, other users can check if their devices batteries are defective and might explode using the Galaxy Note 7 IMEI tool. Samsung posted a guide which shows users what to look for in a safe or fire-prone battery. Users who have not sent their Galaxy Note 7 units for replacement are advised to use the tool as soon as possible.
