An Australian surf instructor said that his Apple iPhone 7 burst into flames and damaged his car's interior after his surfing lessons.
According to Yahoo News, Mat Jones claims that he left his iPhone 7 in his car before he held surfing lessons. When he went back to his car, it was filled with smoke. The iPhone 7, which was under a pile of clothes, is said to have overheated and burned the interior of Jones' car and his pants. The iPhone 7 may have failed to endure the beach heat in the car.

"As I looked into my car, you could not see inside the car, like all the windows were just black," Jones said. "Ash was just coming from inside the pants which then, once you unwrapped the pants, the phone was just melting inside of it."
Apple has said that it will investigate and determine what led to the phone's combustion. The company will also find out if the fire was caused by a defective handset. It should be noted that phone batteries tend to burn when broken or overcharged. According to Jones, he did not use any third-party charger or drop his phone, which was only purchased a week ago.
Meanwhile, Apple fitted the new iPhone 7 home button with a fast workaround in case it suddenly conks out. The iPhone 7 lock screen will show a message saying the home button may require service if the system detects something wrong. The quick fix is an onscreen home button which is automatically shown on the smartphone's display, allowing the user to keep using the phone until the home button is repaired.
The Apple iPhone 7 is the first water-resistant and dust-proof iOS smartphone with no 3.5 mm earphone jack. It comes with the new Lightning Earpods, upgraded A10 processor and a lot of new functions and apps. The iPhone 7 sports a 12 megapixels rear camera with a 7 megapixels selfie snapper. It runs on the latest iOS 10 and costs $649 USD for the 32 GB model, $749 USD for the 128 GB model, and $849 USD for the 256 GB model.
