Apple Watch 2 was rumored last December to have a March 2016 release, based on an Apple event that featured the new smartwatch, 4-inch iPhone 6c handset, and iPad Air 3 tablet. Several sources confirmed an Apple Watch 2 release during the first half of this year, but a new report suggests that Apple's second-gen smart watch will not be rolled out early in the year, based on no signs of production runs.
Tech Crunch cites many sources familiar with Apple's future plans as revealing the new design including a camera, and accessories for Apple Watch 2.0 could be completed by March. However, a launch event for Apple's smartwatch will reportedly not take place during the month, according to WCCF Tech.
Creative Strategies analyst Ben Bajarin shared that supply orders would have to take place in late 2015 if the company planned a March 2016 launch for the new smartwatch, according to Tech Crunch. However, it did not happen.
In addition, Apple's suppliers have provided warnings of lower revenue in the future. They also seem to be indicative that a new Apple Watch will not be available early in 2016.
This news challenges a report from Taiwan's Commercial Times that implied Watch 2 production would start at the end of January. It would reportedly be done by the same company that produced the original Apple Watch.
However, Tech Crunch points out that there could still be a launch event in March for other new products. That could include the iPhone 6c, iPad Air without 3D Touch, or new Mac computers.
The web includes a lot of guesses about when iPhone 6c will be released. It is highly likely it will take place in 2016.
Apple will probably launch two new iPhones in September 2016, and it is possible that it could roll out three models. MacWorld suggests that the 4-inch iPhone 6c could be available as soon as March 2016 or in the summer months.
Meanwhile, it is possible iPhone 7 could be available by the summer, although the odds are quite low. Most industry experts expect an autumn launch, and probably in September.
