The Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered Huawei Honor Magic smartphone has been launched in China.
The Honor Magic (NTS-AL00) is said to be Huawei's answer to Xiaomi's Mi MIX concept phone. The latter features some innovative hardware such as a three-sided bezel-less display, piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology speaker, and ultrasonic proximity sensor.
Apart from the 3D curved glass on the front and back, the Honor Magic has a SIM card tray for two SIMs side-by-side. It also features a capacitive home button on the front embedded with the fingerprint scanner. The home button does other tasks with the swipe gestures.
The Honor Magic has a 5.09-inch quad high-definition AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by the octa-core Kirin 950 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.3 GHz.
The Honor Magic features a dual 12-megapixel cameras (a monochrome sensor and RGB sensor) at the back with an aperture of f/2.2 and 1.4 µm pixels. It also features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
The Honor Magic is packed with a 2900 mAh battery with Huawei Magic Power charger. It can charge to 90 percent in just 30 minutes and almost 40 percent battery life in 10 minutes. It sports an infrared camera on the front to recognize the user's eye.
The Honor Magic measures 146.2 x 69.9 x 7.8 mm in dimension with a weight of 145 grams. It comes with a 3.5mm audio port, loudspeaker, and USB Type-C port on the bottom edge. Other connectivity options are Bluetooth 4.2, 4G, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac.
The Honor Magic is available in golden black and porcelain white color with the price tag of $532.27 (3699 yuan).
