The Huawei Honor 6X Smartphone has been relaunched as the Huawei Mate 9 Lite in the international market.
The Huawei Honor 6X was launched last month in China. Honor is a sub-brand of Chinese smartphone maker Huawei. The new Huawei Mate 9 Lite is the same Honor 6X, but the Huawei logo is seen on the front and back instead of the Honor logo.

The Huawei Mate 9 Lite offers dual rear cameras without Leica branding and lower resolution sensors. It has a 5.5-inch full high-definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 2.5D glass on top. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box with the customized EMUI 4.1 user interface.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite is powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.1 GHz and coupled with Mali T830 GPU. It comes with 3GB and 4GB of RAM as well as 32GB and 64GB of built-in memory respectively.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite features a 12-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus and a 2-megapixel camera for capturing depth in the image at the back. It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens for better selfies and video calls. Just below its dual rear camera is a circular fingerprint scanner for capturing selfies and accessing the notification panel besides unlocking.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite measures 150.9 x 76.2 x 8.2 mm in dimension with a weight of 162 grams. It is packed with a 3340 mAh non-removable battery that provides 23 hours of talk time on 4G network and up to 650 hours of standby mode.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite is a dual SIM dual standby smartphone and supports both FDD and TD LTE bands. Other connectivity options are VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and microUSB 2.0 port.
There is no announcement yet about the pricing and availability of the Huawei Mate 9 Lite. However, it will be available in gold, gray, and silver color.
