After the launch of "Halo Wars 2" this week on Xbox One and PC, developers 343 Industries and Creative Assembly expressed that it does not end there and players can expect more. 343 stated that both their teams are working hard to develop and release future content and patches for the game.
Halo Wars 2 Big Update May Arrive This Week
Subsequent to the launch, there is already an available update for "Halo Wars 2," Gamespot reported. In addition, there will be a "large patch" for Xbox One and Windows 10 to come this week with "significant" number of fixes and improvements as well. Players will soon receive an update regarding this. 343 further stressed that they have been monitoring the online connectivity, latency and performance issues the players are encountering, which they now prioritize to address said issues.
New "Halo Wars 2" Update Coming Every Month
For "Halo Wars 2" DLC, players can monthly expect new content every third Wednesday starting this March with a new leader Kinsano and with more leaders, units and campaign missions in the next months thereafter, according to the Halow Waypoint blog. The developer also stated that there will be a deeper discussion at PAX East regarding the "Halo Wars 2" DLC that will be exposed in due time.
On the other hand, it is also reported that the hotfix for XP exploit has already been released. Previously, the players in 1v1 games could earn 600XP by destroying their base at the start of the game. However, while the game shows receipt of XP with such action, but players do not actually gain the XP.
"So doing this will not only net you no real reward, it will also ruin the fun for the person you're matching against while inaccurately skewing player skill ratings," 343 stated. "Halo Wars 2" is now available for Xbox One and PC.
