Xiaomi is heavily pegged to announce the Mi Pad 3 tablet in the coming weeks to replace the Mi Pad 2. Here is all that you wanted to know about its specifications, price and release date
During the recent launch event of Xiaomi Mi 5C and Redmi 4X smartphones, the Chinese firm also teased the forthcoming Mi Pad 3 tablet on the official pages of Taobao. However, it does not reveal any information on the specifications and release date of the tablet, Gizbot reported.
According to Gizmo China, previous leaks have revealed that the Mi Pad 3 is expected to houses a 9.7-inch display that will produce a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. It is rumored to be driven by Intel Core M3-7Y90 CPU and 8 GB of RAM.
It is expected to be available in two storage models of 128 GB and 256 GB. For photography, it is expected to feature a 16-megapixel snapper on the rear side whereas the front is expected to house an 8-megapixel shooter.It is rumored to run on Windows 10 OS and it will be packed with MS Office and Cortana.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is pegged to include an 8,290 mAh battery that will carry support for fast charging. For connectivity, it will come with features like Wi-Fi and USB Type-C. As of this writing, there is no confirmation on whether it will feature LTE connectivity. The device is expected to come with a slim profile of 6.08 mm and weigh 380 grams.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 was expected to launch in November 2016, but its arrival has been delayed. Since its teaser has surfaced, it is likely that the company may announce the tablet in this month.
As far as pricing is concerned, the 128 GB Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is expected to be priced at CNY 1,999 ($289) whereas its 256 GB variant is expected to cost CNY 2,299 ($435). The tablet is expected to be available with an optional keyboard accessory that is pegged to cost CNY 99 ($14).
