A new "Batman Arkham" game sequel could be in the works this year, which include an official announcement this week and possible plot details.
Warner Bros. Montreal teased that a new "Batman Arkham" seaquel being developed called "Batman: Insurgency" as IGN France tweeted a possibly announcement related to the game on March 8.
According to the leaked details, "Batman: Akham Insurgency" will take place three years after the events of "Batman: Arkham Origin" as players will take on the role of Batman and Robin (Dick Grayson) in the game."Batman: Arkham Insugency" will have the same game engine used in "Batman: Arkham Knight" and has been in development since 2014.
As for the map, "Batman: Arkham Insurgency" will feature a coastal region of Gotham City and its size is equivalent of the three islands featured in "Batman Arkham Knight", although the interiors have been substantially expanded so players will be able to get inside most of the buildings, WCCFTech reported.
The Wayne Mansion and Batcave can now be explored in "Batman: Arkham Insurgency". The Batmobile gameplay has been changed a bit, as it will no longer feature a battle mode similar in "Arkham Knight" and will consist of car chases, but the missiles, power winch and the EMP device still remains, along with new features.
"Batman: Arkham Insurgency" will feature a dual combat system, minus the dual takedown as it will be replaced with special moves and combos for each character. The sequel will also feature a new skill tree and a 1-on-1 battles.
Finally, the plot of "Batman: Arkham Insurgency" will involve a massive jail break from both Black Gate Prison and Arkham Asylum, as the GCPD blocks off a segment of Gotham City.
Batman and Robin will be facingthe Court of Owls and there Talons, as the organinzation has been taken over by Owlman, Gamepur reported.
Rumored DC characters appearing in "Batman: Arkham Insurgency" will include Maxie Zeus, Dollmaker, Killer Moth, Anarky, Two-Face, Blockbuster, Ventriloquist, Cornelius Stirk, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Dusan al Ghul, Mad Monk, Dala, The Riddler and The Joker.
Alfred Pennyworth and Lucious Fox will return to aid Batman and Robin in the main story, while Barbabra Gordon will help players during side missions.
Comic Book and gaming fans will expect someothing great from Warner Bros. Montreal related to "Batman: Arkham Insurgency" this week.
