New details for "Overwatch" will feature several characters being nerfed and future storylines being developed soon.
It seems that Blizzard Entertainment will be working on future storylines for "Overwatch" within the year as the game's lead writer Michael Chu teased in the recent Battle.net forum website that the studio is working on expanding storylines with the goadl of revealing much more intriguing stories for the characters and the its growing lore.
Chu added that they are currently still building the story for the new "Overwatch" character Orisa, who is introduced to gaming fans last weekend. The writer ended with a tease for gaming fans as he plans to unveil "something special" just around the corner as gaming fans are hoping to be related to Orisa or even future DLC characters.
In other news, several "Overwatch" characters are getting nerfed in the latest PTR as game designer Geoff Goodman revealed them to be Ana, Winston, Junkrat, Zenyatta, Sombra and Orisa, Gamerant reported
Ana's Bionic Rifle damage is being decreased from 80 to 60, and her Bionic Grenade damage and healing are being halved from 60 to 30 and 100 to 50.
Junkrat's update in the PTR will make him immune to his own explosives including his grenade-dropping, post-elimination passive ability Total Mayhem.
Sombra will have reduced cooldown about in her Translocator from six seconds to four seconds, as well as reducing the sound effects and voice-over distance to 15 meters after using her Stealth ability.
Winston will have a few adjustment to its Barrier Projector cooldown so that the counter will begin when the barrier is placed, as opposed to when it ends or is destroyed.
Zenyatta in the PTR update will have reduced alternative fire recovery period of his Orb of Destruction from one second to 0.6 seconds. Perhaps most interestingly, the support Omnic’s debuffing Orb of Discord can now target enemies through barriers, such as Reinhardt’s shield and Winston’s barrier. This should will likely boost Zenyatta’s attacking and supporting viability.
Lastly, Orisa will be nerfed in the PTR prior to her inclusion to the "Overwatch" roster as Blizzard will lower her Fusion Driver magazine size from 200 to 150, as well as increasing the cost of earning her Supercharger Ultimate ability by an additional 15 percent.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
