The latest details for "Final Fantasy 7" remake will feature a new combat system, boss fight and character voice-actors in the game.
Square Enix announced several new game details for "Final Fantasy 7" remake as he told Famitsu (via WCCFTech) that combat system for the game will not be turn-based or command base like the original "Final Fantasy VII", but rather an action based gameplay.
A screenshot of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake also showcased a cover system, which optional for gamers and Nomura will add situational commands in the final touches of the game. Nomura added details on the boss fights in "Final Fantasy 7" remake particularly on Guard Scorpion.
The battle with Guard Scorpion will be quite "flashy" in the "Final Fantasy 7" remake, with environmental destruction and Guard Scorpion will feature all new attacks that were not found in the original game.
Just like in the previous trailers, "Final Fantasy 7" remake's gameplay will be more action-based similar to "Final Fantasy XV" as Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase stated before that that the development team has "solidified" the base of the battle system as director Tetsuya Nomura and Mitsunori Takahashi are putting a lot of effort into it despite working on "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Dissidia: Final Fantasy".
When asked about Materia and other important systems and mechanics that comprised of the bulk of "Final Fantasy VII" game, Kitase replied by saying that Square Enix is not going to remove the things that were popular within the game so expect some nostalgic gameplay in the remake.
Meanwhile, Kitase teased gaming fans that the voice-over for the characters in "Final Fantasy 7"remake is nearly finish.
Kitase told Dengeki PlayStation (via Gamerant) that the voice for "Final Fantasy 7" remake requires substantial preparedness.
The game producer also took a moment to explain what fans should expect out of the voices for each character in the game, suggesting that those who are imagining the cast to sound like their "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" counterparts.
However, Kitase stated that since characters like Cloud Strife are in their pre-Advent Children days, the voice performance “may feel fresh”, meaning the character's voice will be different than the movie.
"Final Fantasy 7" remake is speculated to launch sometime within 2017 for the PS4.
