Niantic Lab is speculated to hold a St. Patrick's Event which will come with major gym battle changes and trading elements to Pokemon Go. The Pokemon Go event held last month has already ended and players are excited for the St. Patrick's Day event to roll out.
According to reports, Niantic Lab has teased the fans of an upcoming big in-game event only hours after the Pokemon Celebrations went live. Pokemon Go has won the Best Mobile Game award at the DICE awards and one of the developers told the players to save their in-game candy.
This information could actually be a teaser for the upcoming double XP event which can happen before Easter. If this is the case, then the next Pokemon Go event could be for St. Patrick's Day or if not, Mother's Day. Niantic Lab just launched a new Pokemon Go update on iOS but dataminers were not able to find anything new.
Other reports said that upon update release, Pokemon Go will have some major changes on Trading and Gym Battles. Trading is very important in Pokemon Go and some changes are needed. Niantic Lab said that the changes will come through Proximity.
It also explained that an update is on the works, possibly breaking trading options. Fans will likely see a more dilute version of features soon and after these are fixed, the game is expected to come with other augmentations to Gym Battling and PvP choices.
Niantic Lab is currently tight-lipped about the speculated event and if these speculations are true, fans will be thrilled for the new update which will come with double XP and changes in Gym Battles and Trading.
