The latest trailer for "Injustice 2" showcases a division between DC Comics characters. The House of El is somehow divided with a clash depicted between Supergirl against Superman (Kal-El).

Since the game's launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 16 last year, fans have been interested in the potential characters and storyline. With the help of "Injustice" game trailers subsequently released, gamers have somehow managed to get a peek at the plot and gameplay of the upcoming "Injustice: Gods Among Us" sequel.

With the most recent release, the third part of the trailer entitled "Shattered Alliances" somehow gives an overview of the potential role of Supergirl. In the upcoming game sequel, it is to be expected that a clash between members of the House of El will occur, Supergirl versus Superman.

The motive of Supergirl fighting Superman is related to the plans of Superman for mankind, and the oppressive regime he had formed, according to WWG. Supergirl in the trailer invokes the bloodline of El as those who responds with strength and selflessness, not strength and fear like Superman.

Gamers can expect a plot twist in the upcoming "Injustice 2." According to the trailer, Superman became a dictator and supreme ruler of humankind. Humans became more of a prisoner with the armed escorts all around than being free citizens of the world under Superman's regime.

Meanwhile, as seen on the footage, Black Adam will likely be part of the upcoming game sequel. Thus, making the total confirmed playable characters to 26. If it is true that the original core cast would be 28 characters, then it could just be days from now before they would be finally completed.

Given the information, it would most likely be that the interesting storyline will give more room for the characters to standout. The typical good versus evil concept will likely undergo a huge twist at the end of it.
