With the Mobile World Congress set to start on Feb. 22, Lenovo has revealed through a teaser via Twitter that a new device is set to come out on MWC 2016 held in Barcelona.
Lenovo teased the handset via its official Twitter account by publishing a stunning image of the new product to be launched. On Sunday, Feb. 12, the Tweet stated "A gorgeous new device has been engineered from scratch to deliver the #Knockout punch. Brace yourselves." Moments later, the tweet gained a great momentum and left most of the mobile up graders wondering what the new product beholds.
Lenovo India also released a poster of a black covered mobile phone, being covered by silver liquid metal. The image also had a caption denoting, "#KnockOut Coming soon MWC 2016." Speculations arise that the gadget may have an all metal body, as the poster suggests. It can also be a successor of Lemon 3, called the Lemon 3 Plus, as Lenovo earlier revealed that Lemon 3 Plus would soon hit the markets.
In another Tweet on Feb. 15, the smartphone in the poster had two speakers at the bottom back panel, and rumor has it that the model will have an improved sound quality. The design was similar to Lemon 3, except for the all metal panel and a Dolby Atmos present in between the speakers. The smartphone is also expected to have an improved display and will be launched only in China for a first season sale.
The gadget is expected to sport a Full HD IPS display of 5.5 inch, with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixel. An Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor will be installed to the smartphone, along with a 3GB of RAM. The device is also expected to have an internal storage of 16GB and will run on Android 5.1.
For reference, Lenovo Lemon 3 is a 5.0-inch device sporting Full HD IPS display at 441ppi. The device runs on 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragog 616 SoC backed by Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Other features that Lenovo Lemon 3 bears include 16GB on board storage, Android 5.1 OS, 13 megapixel rear camera, and 5MP selfie shooter.
