"Dead Island: Retro Revenge," a game developed by Empty Clip Studios, has been rated by Australian Classification Board on Feb. 11. The Australian government has rated it "M" for its content, which is heavy on "bloody violence."
According to IGN, "Dead Island: Retro Revenge" is classified as a "computer game" based on the rating website, and consumers have already been advised about the game's "bloody violence" and "online interactivity." This website does not reveal any information on whether "Retro Revenge" is a sequel to original "Dead Island" series, or whether it shall be available for gaming in PC or consoles; however, Game spot mentions that "Retro Revenge" shall be released in multiple platforms.

According to the rating website, "Retro Revenge" is being developed by Empty Clip Studios, which have been earlier associated with creating games like "Symphony," "Grooving' Blocks" and the "Rapid Fire Engine," which is used in "Monaco: What's yours is mine."
PC Gamer reported that Koch Media has published "Retro Revenge." Koch Media is the parent company of German video game publisher Deep Silver. Deep Silver, on the other hand, is associated in publishing the first "Dead Island."
Numerous reports mentioned that "Dead Island: Retro Revenge" has not yet been rated by North America's Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), and once the game title is rated by ESRB, information regarding the game and its prospects will come to light.
"Dead Island" was a horror video game developed by Techland in 2011 for both PC and consoles. The game revolved around surviving in a zombie island, while its sequel "Dead Island 2" was to be developed by Yager and was slated for a release in 2015; however it ran into trouble after Deep Silver broke off with Yager. According to reports, Deep Silver had announced that "Dead Island 2" would be released sometime this year.
There is heavy speculation that "Retro Revenge" might be the much awaited "Dead Island 2"; however, confirmation from Deep Silver to this effect is still awaited.
