The entire specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 5 were leaked launch presentation.
Several slides of a presentation file that is rumored to belong to the Xiaomi MI 5 launch event that will be held on Feb. 24 has been leaked, Times News UK reported. The specifications of the smartphone through another leaked photo of a specs sheet, Giz China reported.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be arriving with a 5.2-inch display. Previous rumors had suggested that it will be carrying support for Quad HD resolution. However, fresh leaks suggest it will support full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
The Xiaomi flagship will be featuring the Snapdragon 820 chipset under its hood. Its quad-core processor is expected to work at a processing speed of 2.2 GHz. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available in two storage options of 32 GB and 64GB. The former will feature 3 GB of RAM whereas the latter will come with 4 GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be coming with a rear camera of 26 MP that will house a f/1.6 lens. It is expected to carry features like dual-LED flash and optical image stabilization. The front side of the smartphone will be coming with an 8 MP selfie camera.
The physical Home button of the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be embedded with a fingerprint sensor. It will also feature a USB Type-C connector that will be equipped with Quick Charge 3.0 feature.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be the first smartphone to arrive with most recent Wi-Fi standard of 802.11ad. It will also carry support for NFC connectivity. It will come preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS overlaid with MIUI software from the Chinese manufacturer. A Windows 10 Mobile version of Xiaomi MI 5 is also expected to unveiled on Feb. 24.
It will be equipped with a large battery of 3600 mAh capacity. As far as the design of the Xiaomi Mi 5 is concerned, it is expected to sport a metallic frame along with glass panels on front and rear panels.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 that will be showcased on Feb. 24 is pegged to be available for buying within a week. The 3 GB RAM variant is expected to be available for CNY 1,999 ($306). On the other hand, the 4 GB RAM model will be priced at CNY 2,299 ($352). Rumors also suggest that a larger smartphone called Xiaomi Mi Plus with 5.7-inch Quad HD display, SD 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM will be also unleashed.
