With the age old rivalry, Apple and Microsoft are no strangers in competing each other with compelling designs and products.
The Apple iPad Pro seems to be a large device with its 12.9 inch retina display screen at 2732 x 2048 pixel resolution. The iPad Pro comes with two accessories that include the Apple Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil. Both accessories are severely overpriced and have performance issues compared to the Microsoft Surface Pro 4's keyboard and stylus. The Apple Pencil has to be charged using the lightning port by plugging on to the iPad itself, and the Apple Pencil costs around $99 which is very high for an underperforming device. The Surface Pro 4, on the other hand, has a full blown backlight keyboard with an actual trackpad.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 can easily replace your laptop as it runs the proprietary Windows 10 operating system which can run all the windows programs. The iPad Pro runs on IOS 9.2 and is smoothly working on with the beautiful 12.9 inch display of the device. Apple has the upper hand in application development section as the Microsoft app store lacks some of the most basic apps. However, the most important selling point of the Surface Pro 4 is that it can run all important windows programs like the Office Suite, Photoshop etc., which is not possible on the iPad Pro as it only supports apps and not the actual Mac OS programs.
The Surface Pro 4 comes on top in most aspects but Apple still sold over 2 million iPads against the 1.6 million tablets by Microsoft. Microsoft has showcased an exceptional device with impressive software and an awesome embedded hardware. With variants using Intel Skylake Core M3, Core i5 and Core i7, the device works as a power house creating every possibilities of an authentic Windows PC. Although pricey, Surface Pro 4 delivers all what you want which makes it the obvious pick over iPad Pro.
