If you're a rage quitter, you won't find much solace in Street Fighter V because Capcom is making plans to make life difficult for such players.

No one likes a rage quitter for they are probably the worst set of gamers to play against. When things are not going their way, they will quit to take the fun out of the winning party's experience, and that is why every game must have measures to punish them.

What is Capcom doing to stop rage quitters in their tracks when it comes down to Street Fighter V? Well, the developer plans to lock League Points from anyone who is identified as a rage quitter. When this happens, the player's rank will ultimately fall, and we know no one wants that.

Capcom says this first step should be viewed as a warning because from there, the company will monitor a rage quitter's account for a limited time to see if they will perform similar actions again in the future.

Not every rage quitter will have their League Points reduced and experience a drop in rank, according to Capcom. The aim here is to target the worst offenders, something we agree with because anything can cause a player to drop out of a match. Internet connection can easily go haywire, and as such, this player might be viewed as a rage quitter when they had little option.

"Starting last week, we penalized roughly 30 players in our system by docking their League Points. Players who log into their account and see that their LP and Rank has dropped significantly can consider this a warning. We will be continuing to monitor these accounts in the coming weeks and will take further action if needed.

Moving forward, we will be making a sweep each week based on accounts in our system that have abnormally high disconnect rates (particularly at the end of the match) and will reset their League Points," according to Capcom's official blog.

We understand that thousands of players are waiting for Capcom to deal some serious punishment to rage quitters. This is not a permanent fix to the problem, but the developer said it is working on one so players should keep an eye out for that.

Until then, folks should just try and enjoy the game as much as possible. Street Fighter V is a fun game, and as such, one should not allow rage quitters to spoil that.
