(Photo : Reuters) All eyes have turned to Apple regarding its upcoming rumored device, the iPad Pro 2. There are reports coming about that the device is already being developed by Apple, but since the tech company has remained quite, the speculation remains unverified.

Apple Inc. just released a new build of iOS 9.3 for iPad 2, fixing the activation process issue.

iPad 2 users have reported that the device cannot complete the activation process with Apple's servers after being updated. The completion process will not move forward unless the users remember their original Apple ID and password they have used when setting it up for the first time out of the box, The Verge reported. It resulted to an activation issue for anyone who switched accounts and changed their passwords or just plainly bought a second-hand iPad 2.

In order to fix the problem, Apple launched another build of iOS 9.3 specifically for the iPad 2 to remove the activation bug. When the update has been installed, users will be able to activate and use iPad 2without running into any account problems. The new build of iOS 9.3 for the iPad 2 contains the build number 13E236 and the original public version of iOS 9.3 has the build number 13E234 for iPhone and 13E233 for iPad.

However, there is only one problem here. Users would not be able to download and install the said update using WiFi or mobile network. The only way to do it is to connect their iPad 2 to a computer and download and install the latest build of iOS 9.3 via iTunes, according to Design & Trend (please replace this source)

In addition, the Cupertino-based tech company has posted a help page for other customers with the same activation issue over iOS 9.3. If the users failed to activate their iPad 2 using iTunes on a PC or Mac, they can try to resolve the issue by disabling the activation lock from iCloud on the web. However, if all else fails, Apple urge the customers to contact customer support for further assistance.

This activation issue over iPad 2 on iOS 9.3 gives emphasis to the importance of meticulous testing and quality assurance of the software updates before they are officially launched in public. Apple plans to launch another fixed version of iOS 9.3 older devices like iPad Air and iPad mini 2. The company may also add some new features such as secured Notes, Night Shift and some other refinements.
