Google Store Has Slashed Google Nexus 6P, 5X Price By $50

The prices of Google Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X smartphones are reduced by $50 on Google Store.

With the new price cut of $50, the prices of Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X have been slashed to $299 and $449 on Google Store. Best Buy and B&H are also selling the Nexus 6P for $449 whereas the Nexus 5X is available for $299, GSM Arena reported.

The Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X smartphones are both available with a free selfie stick on B&H along with respective gift cards worth $50 and $25. Best Buy is also giving away a $50 gift card for Nexus 6P buyers. However, it is not offering any gift card or freebies for Nexus 5X buyers, Android Authority reported. The new price discount on Nexus 6P and 5X smartphones on Google Store do not carry feature freebies or gift card. The Google Store offer is going to finish on May 6.

Google had launched the Android Beta Program in March. This program allows Nexus device owners to test the beta builds of Android N OS before it is officially released in July this year. At the beginning of this month, the search engine giant had released the second build of Android N Developer Preview. I the coming months, it is expected to released three more builds.

Currently, the Android N preview builds are unavailable for non-Nexus devices. It is only available for Nexus devices such as Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Pixel C. However, speculations suggest that even non-Nexus devices and Nexus 5 will get the forthcoming preview build of Android N.

Rumors are rife that Google has partnered with HTC to release two Nexus smartphones in 2016. One of them is expected to arrive with a 5-inch screen to replace the Nexus 5X. The other will be a Nexus 6P successor that will house a 5.5-inch Nexus 6P.

Each year, the search engine giant launches new Nexus devices with the newest version of Android. This year, the HTC Nexus 2016 smartphones are expected to arrive preloaded with Android 7.0 N OS by July this year. Rumors are rife that Google will continue its collaboration with Huawei in building a 7-inch Nexus 7P tablet this year. The Nexus 6P smartphone from last year was manufactured by Huawei.
