The specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 5s have been leaked on Chinese micro blogging platform Weibo ahead of the official launch of the device.
Chinese internet and technology giant Xiaomi has been working on the upgraded version of its flagship Mi 5 smartphone - the Mi 5s.
The leak was first reported by latest tech buzz portal Androidpure. "Thanks to a new leak, we now have the full hardware specifications of Xiaomi Mi 5s," Androidpure wrote. "This new leak comes in the form of a screenshot of the hardware specifications table and reveals all the details of the device."
The Xiaomi Mi 5s would come with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 821 processor with 6GB RAM. The leak further suggests that the newer version of the Mi 5 smartphone would be equipped with 256GB of internal storage.
The 'extreme' version of the Mi 5 will feature a 5.15-inch full high definition display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution as well as a 16-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/1.9. It is also expected to come with an upgraded 3,490mAh battery.
Xiaomi is reportedly planning to launch the Mi 5s in China soon. The smartphone is likely to be launched in other countries including the US and India before the end of this year. Xiaomi launched the Mi 5 in China early in 2016. The Chinese smartphone maker recently reduced the price of the Mi 5 to increase the sales.
