The Google Nexus 5X unveiled to the world in October 2015 is now available with a discount of $30.
The Google Store is now selling both 16 GB and 32 GB variants of the Nexus 5X with a discount of $30. After the price cut, the 16 GB LG Nexus 5X is available for $349 and the 32 GB variant is available for $399. Both the models were launched in October 2015 for $399 and $429, respectively, International Business Times reported.
The Google Store's new price reduction on the Nexus 5X seems to be a permanent one unlike the deals that surfaced during the holiday season at the end of 2015, Phone Arena reported. However, Google has not officially confirmed whether the new price reduction is permanent or not.
If the $30 discount, other sellers like Amazon and Best Buy are also expected to offer the same discount on LG Nexus 5X. There is no discount available on the Google Nexus 6P smartphone. It is currently listed on the Google Store with a price tag of $499 for the starting model. However, the older Nexus 6 smartphone is now available on Amazon with a massive discount of $400.
In the previous year, the Google had launched two smartphones, the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P. The former is an upgraded edition of the LG Nexus 5 from 2013 and the latter is the successor model for the Motorola Nexus 6 from 2014. Both the smartphones were launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow onboard.
The Huawei Nexus 6P was built to help the Chinese brand to penetrate the American markets. It is also an attempt from the search engine giant to popularize the Google Play Store in Chinese markets.
The Google Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch full HD IPS LCD screen and it offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is fueled by Snapdragon 808 chipset and 2 GB of RAM.
The rear side of the Nexus 5X sports a 12.3 MP camera enabled with dual-LED flash and laser autofocus. The front features a 5 MP camera. It also features a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port. It is equipped with a non-removable battery of 2700 mAh capacity. It is available in three color options like carbon, quartz and ice.
