A lot of customers pre-ordered the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL from the U.S. Google Store, and most of them have received their smartphone by now. However, shipments are said to be lagging behind.

According to 9to5google, it appears that several orders are missing delivery estimates with customers seeing their order status as "pending" even if it should have been delivered by now.

The pre-orders for the smartphone apparently exceeded expectations, and Google is said to be having trouble keeping up with the shipments on time. Some customers were informed that the devices would not be shipped until the middle of November because of overwhelming demand. However, some Google Store customer reps told concerned customers that the devices would be shipped on time and advised them to ignore the online status page.

The Google Pixel features a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and is capable of split-screen windows and a battery-saving Doze mode. The phone is compatible with the Daydream View VR headset and comes with a 3,450 mAh battery. It is also dust and water-resistant but will still be damaged when submerged in water.

The Pixel XL comes with a glass and aluminum build. The Pixel also has an intelligent personal assistant which functions just like the Apple iPhone's Siri. Other specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB/128 GB of internal storage. It has a 12 megapixels rear camera and an 8 megapixels selfie snapper and also comes with a 3540 mAh battery unit with USB Type-C charging.
