The Huawei Mate 9 Lite smartphone has been officially released.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite was unveiled earlier this month at an event held in Germany. It is expected to be the cheapest device in the Mate 9 series.

The Huawei Mate 9 Lite will come with a unibody metal design and a 5.5-inch full high-definition display with 2.5D curved glass and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 16nm chipset clocked at a speed of 2.1 GHz and coupled with Mali T830-MP2 GPU on top.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with EMUI 4.1 on top and is expected to get further updates. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory that can be further expanded up to a maximum of 256GB via a microSD card slot.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite features a 12-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash and 1.25μm pixel size and a secondary 2-megapixel camera. It also carries an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It is packed with a 3340 mAh non-removable battery which can last for an entire day on normal usage.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite is a hybrid dual SIM slot that can be used for two nano SIM cards or one microSD card and one nano-SIM card. It supports VoLTE connectivity on both SIM slots. Other connectivity options are GPS, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth as well as sensors such as the gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, and compass magnetometer.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite measures 150.9 x 76.2 x 8.2 mm in dimension with a weight of 162 grams. It will be available in gold, gray, and silver color.
