The hard-to-find NES System (Nintendo Entertainment System) did not last long when it was made available at Target on Monday. Best Buy is now set to restock the NES Classic Mini on Dec. 20.
The new stocks will be available only at physical stores, so NES fans will have to beat the holiday rush before it sells out again. According to a Best Buy representative, the retail giant will have extremely limited stock of the NES Classic Edition so it could be out in just a matter of minutes.

The remake of the NES Classic has triggered nostalgia among players all over the world. Since the launch of the NES Classic Edition, Nintendo has not been able to supply retailers with new stocks and demand has immensely grown all over the world. The console costs $99.95 USD, but online stores now sell it for more than $300 USD.
The NES Classic Edition is a remake of the 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System, which comes preinstalled with 30 retro games including The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario titles and Final Fantasy, among others. The games also received modern upgrades with brighter and sharper pixelated images.
According to Nintendo, the NES Classic Edition will have a steady flow of additional stocks through the holiday season and new year.
"Many of us have fond and wonderful memories of the original NES," said Doug Bowser, senior VP of sales and marketing at Nintendo about the Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition. "With these launch activities for the NES Classic Edition, we want to replicate the nostalgic feelings of sitting down and playing the NES with your family for the first time."
