A US-based startup has created "Juno," a $49 four-in-one smart makeup mirror with auto-sensing technology.
The developers of the technology claim that almost all the women apply makeup in wrong lighting. This intelligent mirror is said to have the following four important features:
Like Us on Facebook
-
Changes the light settings according to the user's location (indoors, office, evening, etc.).
-
Has a built-in ring light for professional-looking selfies.
-
Turns into a reading lamp with the flick of a wrist.
-
Has a storage tray for all the beauty and makeup needs.
The mirror comes loaded with three light settings: daylight, indoors, and evening. But it can be paired with an iPhone or Android phone as well automatically optimize light via Bluetooth.
The startup claims that the mirror is very simple to use, compact, and comes with studio-grade lighting for precise makeup application and incredible photos.
Through the integrated Juno Mirror X app, the user can also:
-
Choose a specific hue/light warmth.
-
Save favorite light settings.
-
Apply filters to photos.
-
Change the brightness of the reading light.
While the app is currently still under development, the startup aims at having it completed by the time Juno smart mirrors shipping starts.
The Juno mirror has a base of 6 inches, a height of 7.9 inches and a ring size of 9.7 inches. The idea for the mirror was hatched in the year 2015. But it was only in February 2016 that the initial designs of the mirror were finalized, and the first prototype was developed in June. The Kickstarter campaign was launched in December 2016 and the company is going to manufacture the mirrors in January 2017 based on the number of customer requests. The mirrors would be shipped in February.
"We are currently on track to complete app development by the time the first mirrors ship (February 2017), but there may be delays as we go through the app approval process etc.," the team behind Juno stated.
