Fresh rumors have revealed that the Windows 10 Mobile OTA release will start on Jan. 12, Nokia Power User reported citing information from an anonymous tipster. Speculations are rife that the Redmond giant will unleash a new midrange smartphone, the Lumia 850 with impressive specs on Jan. 12 and the company will use the same platform to announce the release of Windows 10 Mobile OS update.
The rumor mill has revealed that the Microsoft Lumia 850 that is codenamed as Honjo will be coming with a 5.7-inch full HD display, WM Power User reported. The Redmond giant will be launching this phablet to replace the older Nokia Lumia 830 handset.
It will be fueled by Snapdragon 617 and will arrive with an improved rear and front cameras than the 10 MP rear and 0.9 MP front camera. The front panel will be also featuring a front-facing flash for the selfie camera. Other sources have reported that the rumored camera LED like feature is an iris scanner.
The rumor mill has no concrete information available on other features of Lumia 850 such as RAM and battery capacity. The Lumia 850 is expected to sport a thin profile of 6.9 mm like the iPhone 6. Hence, it is likely to become the thinnest Lumia smartphone ever.
