The anticipated Android-based Nokia P1 smartphone is set to be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017.
The Nokia P1 is the latest smartphone from the Finnish mobile company Nokia. The company is back to smartphone production in partnership with Chinese smartphone manufacturer Foxconn. A few months ago, Foxconn purchased Sharp, which might give a justifiable explanation to speculations that the upcoming device might be similar to the Sharp Aquos Xx3, which was launched last year in Japan.

The Nokia P1 may have a 5.3-inch display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection from scratches, 1080 x 1920 pixels, and either full high-definition or quad high-definition screen resolution.
The Nokia P1 will run on the Android Nougat operating system out of the box. It could come with 6GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It may be packed with a 3500 mAh battery on the rear with support for quick charging and a fingerprint scanner on the right as well.
The Nokia P1 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and a Kryo 280 octa-core central processing unit. It means that it sports four performance cores clocked at a speed of 2.45 GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at a speed of 1.9 GHz.
The Nokia P1 is also expected to feature a Zeiss-certified 22.6-megapixel camera at the back. It may feature autofocus, digital zoom, an aperture of f/1.9, optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 4K video recording. The device might be equipped with IP57 certification for water and dust resistance.
The Nokia P1 is expected to have a price tag of around $800 (around Rs. 54,500) for the 128GB variant and around $950 (approximately Rs. 64,700) for the 256GB model.
