Valentines is in the air for Niantic with the release of the "Pokémon Go" Valentine's Day event. This is the game's first major event since the New Year's, and the event will have extra candy, pink Pokémon, and Lures that will allegedly last for six hours from February 8 to February 15, 2017.

The rumored Breeding feature is what most people are expecting from the upcoming event. Sadly, reports indicate that the feature will not yet be happening. On the contrary, players can see "Pokémon Go's" official announcement here.
"Pokémon Go" Valentine's Day event features a lot of sweet treats for trainers and here are some of the treats they will be getting.
Every time trainers will catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon, the Candy that they will receive is expected to be doubled. Also, a trainer's Buddy Pokémon will be getting into the Valentine's Day spirit and will find Candy twice as fast.
Moreover, there will be an increase of hatch rate for Cleffa, Smoochum, and Igglybuff and also an increase of spawn rate for pink Pokémon like Clefable, Chansey, and more. Lastly, as mentioned earlier, Lure Modules will last up to six hours for the entire duration of the event.
The celebration of "Pokémon Go" Valentine's Day event will only be available from February 8, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. PST / 2:00 p.m. EST up to February 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. PST / 2:00 p.m. EST.
Niantic's "Pokémon Go" is a location-based reality game which is free-to-play for any Android or iOS users. The game is about going on an adventure in the real world and experiencing a dream of Pokémon coming to life and having the feeling to be a true Pokémon trainer.
