In case you haven't heard, Prince's music is once again widely available for online streaming via Spotify, Napster, Amazon Music, Pandora, and others.

The re-release was made on Sunday to coincide with the Grammy Awards where he was remembered with a special tribute.

You may remember that Prince's had his songs removed from major streaming platforms back in June 2015. For a time after that, Jay Z's Tidal became the exclusive home to Prince's back catalog.

Soon after he died of an accidental drug overdose in April last year, Prince's estate, fortunately, settled an agreement with Universal Studios to allow other streaming sites aside from Tidal to gain rights to his catalog, including his signature album Purple Rain.

"When we make any of Prince's music available to fans -- from the hits to unreleased gems -- we are committed to upholding Prince's high creative standards," Cameron Strang, chief executive of Warner Bros. Records, said in a statement on Sunday.

But there's more good news for fans: A remastered copy of Purple Rain, two albums filled with some of his unreleased music, and two complete concert films are expected to be released on June 9.

The music streaming release was not a total surprise after rumors have hinted that Prince's music is coming back to other streaming platforms. Spotify finally confirmed the speculation last month by putting up huge plain purple Spotify billboards all around the cities of New York and the UK.
