The 12-cylinder berlinett will introduce a slate of innovative features. The boundary-breaking beaut has a 6.5-liter V12 that produces an estimated 789 hp and about 530 feet-pounds of torque at 7,000 rpm.
Around 80 percent of that torque can be tapped at 3,500 rpm, thanks to the 350-bar direct-injection system installed and the Formula 1 race engine-inspired variable intake configuration, according to the Robb Report. This could improve the car's driveability and pick-up even at low revs.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast's maximum power could reach up to 8,500 rpm, something that no other front-engined production car has ever attained. It could easily accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 211 mph.
The mid-front-engined sports car also features a double-clutch auto gearbox with specifically-matched ratios. And to perform its 'Superfast' feature, active flaps are placed on the underbody and a rear flank by-pass as part of the aerodynamic accents.
Ferrari gave the 812 Superfast a sportier yet more radical, futuristic look. It installed a dash's air vent that looks like rocket turbines, a new steering wheel, an instrument cluster, and the latest infotainment system. It also got more electronic help including Side Slip Control, Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0, and Electronic Power Steering (the first time used by Ferrari).
The coupe has a new Rosso Settanta color option to mark the Prancing Horse's 70th anniversary. It has been designed exclusively in-house under Flavio Manzoni, the Business Insider reported.
Meanwhile, the production numbers and the price have not been revealed yet. But do not expect it to go below seven figures.
