The head of AMD Raja Koduri has revealed that the company would launch a Vega-based Graphic Cards called Radeon R Vega which can perform twice the minimum frame rate.

Koduri announced the upcoming graphics cards during AMD's Capsaicin & Cream press event.

The team decided to use Vega since the name is popular and trendy. Thus they integrated the code name into the official brand name, Koduri said, according to Digital Trends.

The partnership between AMD and Bethesda was revealed at the event. However, the company did not reveal any new hardware at the press event. AMD only exhibited its VR games which will come soon.

LiquidSky, a game streaming service, has expressed its plan to install Vega-based graphic cards to its data centers. This would mean that when the cards retail, subscribers would only be able to play PC games which are run on Vega-based virtual PCs.

Raphael Colantonio of Arkane Studios noted that Bethesda's partnership with AMD highlights its goal to advance its library. The company is expected to progress into full eight-core Ryzen processors, as well as its Vega-based graphics.

AMD worked with the Prey team (Arkane) to hone its games that could carry Vega GPUs. May 5 was considered the target date of release for AMD's latest app.

The press event had unveiled Vega GPU architecture with its three highlights: High Bandwidth Cache Controller (HBCC), Rapid Packed Math, and Radeon Virtualized Encode. A huge portion of a graphics card acquisition has been due to the onboard memory, said Koduri. He added that to provide exceptional performance, HBCC could provide the provide access to the total amount of memory.

By switching the HBCC on, it was shown in a presentation that "Deus EX: Mankind Divided" operated twice the minimum framerate performance and got an average frame rate of 1.5 times. HBCC could offer access to the total memory volume. The amount of the physical memory could then be lowered. Therefore, with HBCC turned on, the card could be sold with just 4GB, if the card has 8GB GDD5 memory.

Meanwhile, Vega-based graphics chips would heighten its calculations when it comes to Rapid Packed Math. To illustrate, a Radeon card could provide approximately 550,000 strands of hair every second when the Rapid Packed Math was turned off. One would be surprised if the feature is turned on because per second it could provide nearly 1,200,000 strands of hair.

AMD's boss also mentioned Radeon Virtualized Encode. This the point that LiquidSky entered and disclosed its partnership with AMD. The are working together as service providers of virtual machines structured on Radeon RX Vega GPUs, according to WccfTech.

LiquidSky enthusiasts can stream "Battlefield 1" and other PC games in real time at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution on any device with the Radeon Virtualized Encode feature.
