New details for "Umbrella Corps" will feature a new game mode and a "Resident Evil 4" map in a new trailer, as well as an official launch date for the PlayStation 4 console.

Capcom revealed a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming "Resident Evil" spin-off game, "Umbrella Corps" as the video showcases a new game mode and battlefield map. The new game map for "Umbrella Corps" will feature "The Village" setting from "Resident Evil 4" as players will not only worry about their respective online opponents, but will have to deal with the villagers themselves called the Ganados, VG 24/7 reported.

The Ganados or "Los Ganados" are a group of people turned monters when they are injected with mind controlling Plaga virus. They were first introduce in "Resident Evil 4" as an alternative for the T-Virus zombies and they are smarter and more resilient than the latter. Gamers can use the rooftops and alleys as cover against opponents as they explore and strategise their attacks since the village map is huge.

Aside from the new game map, a new horde-style game mode is also introduced in "Umbrella Corps" called "The Experiment". Unlike the usually six person game mode present in the game, "The Experiment" will be an single player challenge mode were in gamers must survive several waves of enemies in an infested Tricell research facility.

The new game mode will feature zombies and the Cerberus zombie dogs as the player will have a Zombie Jammer and when it falters they will begin to "pile up" on them, being overwhelmed by the enemy. "The Experiment" will have 20 missions and it said to be a practice sessions for players to prepare them for the game, Eurogamer reported.

The trailer ends with another teaser in which viewers will notice a glimpse of a new gameplay map taking place in the African towns featured in "Resident Evil 5".

"Umbrella Corps" will feature two mercenary teams competing against each other in a three-on-three battles, each with their own set of weapons and skills. In addition, gamers are given Brainer Combat Axes that they can use in close combat against other players and zombies. The Terrain Spikes are used to travel through areas quickly and they can use zombies as human shields.

Capcom added that the launch date for "Umbrella Corps" is set on May 2016 for the PS4 console and for the PC at $29.99.
