Samsung foldable smartphones are said to be in the pipeline already. The Korean-based tech giant will reportedly produce around 2,000 to 3,000 smartphones with a radical bendable design.
The competition in the mobile phone industry is getting tougher as years pass by. With newcomers offering sleek design at a reasonable price, brands like Samsung need to be innovative to maintain their lead on the market.

As a testament to their innovation and creativity, the Korean-based company is reportedly developing a dual-screen device with folding capabilities, according to News Week.
Samsung's interest in a foldable smartphone has been reinforced with the growing attention that consumers are giving to the concept. The company has since filed a patent for the foldable concept.
"Samsung seems to be testing the waters with the dual-screen device to gather ideas about its upcoming foldable phone. Since foldable products draw the most attention in markets recently, it is important to understand demands and ideas regarding new UX [user experience] through this prototype," an anonymous source told The Korea Herald.
As of the current writing, Samsung is yet to make a statement about the mobile concept. However, there were reports last year that the Korean company will offer two separate bendable smartphones.
The first version will reportedly use OLED screen. On the other hand, the second Samsung foldable smartphone will be equipped with a flexible display to allow it to extend from a 5-inch to an 8-inch device.
Meanwhile, it is not only Samsung who has expressed their interest in the bendable technology. Brands like Apple and LG have reportedly also filed patents for such a concept.
