'Final Fantasy VII Remake' is an upcoming video game remake, developed and published by Square Enix, of the original 1997 PlayStation role-playing video game by Square.
New updates for "Final Fantasy 7" remake will have no release date this year and the possibility of a PC and Nintendo Switch versions.
A lot of gaming fans are disappointed after Square Enix announced that "Final Fantasy 7" remake and "Kingdom Hearts 3" will not be released in any gaming platforms this year. This due to a recent investor document that Square Enix made highlighting the recent major releases, as well as those expected in fiscal year 2018 starting on April and beyond.

Game titles like "Dragon Quest XI" and "Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" will launch sometime this year, both "Final Fantasy 7" remake, "Kingdom Hearts 3" and the Square Enix produced Marvel games do not have a listed release date.
While this is not a formal announcement that none of these will release this year, it seems incredibly unlikely that gamers will see any of them before 2018 at the earliest months next year, GameSpot reported.
On the other hand, it could also be a possibility that "Final Fantasy 7" remake could launch beyond the PlayStation 4 console.
Square Enix announced that they are focusing their development efforts on the Nintendo Switch rather than the Xbox Scorpio. The Japanese publisher is actively looking at new ports and other games to bring to the system, which is selling very well so far, especially in Japan, teasing other new projects in development for the system.
Five games are said to launch for the Nintendo Switch, but "Final Fantasy 7" remake was not included yet due to the game being relatively new and in developement, but it does not mean it could not be added to the console. Square Enix is very clearly testing the waters here with the Nintendo Switch. The company wants the platform to succeed and it wants its games to succeed on it, IDigital Times reported.
There is also the possibility that "Final Fantasy 7" remake could be ported to the PC version sometime in 2018, but Square Enix game producer Shinji Hashimoto clarified that the PC version and other plans for the series are just rumors for now.
For now, gaming fans will have to wait for further details and possible release date for "Final Fantasy 7" remake soon.
