The upcoming LG G7 is expected to be released in 2018. However, there are already speculations about the specs, price and release date of the device.
With the release of the LG G6, however, its successor is already the talk of the tech community. The G7 will likely be powered by a more powerful chipset than its predecessor.

The G6 sports an older version of Qualcomm's processor, the Snapdragon 821. However, the latest Snapdragon 835 is more powerful, which is why Samsung chose to fit it for its Galaxy S8 models.
The upcoming LG flagship in 2018 will likely sport the Snapdragon 845, the successor of the currently popular Snapdragon 835. With a more advanced mobile processor, the device will be more powerful.
Apart from an updated chipset, the design of the G7 will likely undergo a significant change. The G6 comes with a flat front, and party curved back design. This will likely be transformed into a new curved look similar to that of the Samsung Edge.
There are speculations that the LG G7 will be released on February 25, 2018. The device will likely be launched during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) next year. It is expected to be priced over $700.
LG is yet to confirm any of the aforementioned information and readers are advised to look out for official announcements from the company in the coming months.
Meanwhile, LG's quarterly earnings result shows that the recent quarter was its best in nearly eight years, according to Reuters.
