Studio Wildcard has now released patch 257 for "Ark: Survival Evolved" for PC. The latest update is adding new features such as Tek Cave dungeon hidden in the depths of an active volcano, prehistoric beasts and lasers to sharks.

Among other things, the patch now adds the long-awaited Megalodon saddle to the Tek Tier. It allows players to set up tanks full of sharks that can shoot laser beams.

The new Tek Turret will enhance the players' combat and defensive abilities acting as a laser-spewing upgrade to the typical Auto Turret. On the other hand, the updated and upgraded version of Tek Grenade will allow players to stick to a target and deal a massive damage.

For those who want a copy of their favorite creatures without going through an arduous task of breeding them, the TEK Cloning Chamber will do the tricks. For the cost of Element Shards, it allows players to clone their favourite beasts, retaining their level, appearance and stats. 

Patch 257 for "Ark: Survival Evolved" added new creatures such as the Apis Lithohermaea, or commonly called as the Giant Bee can be a source of honey for survivors. They nest in the Island's Redwoods, in the Canyons of Scorched Earth and on the rocky cliffsides. Players will need to capture and tame the Queen Apis, crack open the nest, and build their own hive.

However, they have to deal with untamable drones that are very territorial and will do anything to protect the Queen. If survivors can successfully tame the queen bee, it will lay new drone eggs and construct a hive, which produces tons of honey.

The Daeodon Comedentis, or commonly called the "Hell Pig" can be a new mount that is perfect for raiding or hunting parties. They have the abilty to chew food at a rapid rate and regenerate health at very fast rate. Their metabolism that affects their health regeneration also affects their nearby allies, also boosting their health regeneration.

The Lucky Liopluerodon is a new aquatic mythical beast, and the Kentrosaurus has a fierce temper and spiky tail which is perfect for compound defender. Full patch notes can be viewed via official website of "Ark: Survival Evolved".
