There are speculations that Rockstar could make a move like its previous "GTA" installments. Rockstar usually drops some expansion packs and spin-offs before releasing an actual follow-up to the previous installlments, according to GTA 5 Cheats.
Assuming that a spin-off will be introduced prior to the release of "Grand Theft Auto VI," the question is what would be the setting and approach of the add-on? The spin-off will likely be set in the "very heart of Vice City" or any other town which was previously highlighted in the past games, according to Christian Today.
With the high possibility of a spin-off being introduced this year, the release of the sequel to "Grand Theft Auto V" may not happen this year. The game is likely to be launched between 2018 and 2019.
The highly anticipated "GTA 6" was expected to be set in Tokyo. However, this idea was allegedly dropped due to the country's "problematic" road system. Aside from Japan, there are talks that "Grand Theft Auto VI" may be set in London. This could be the first time for the game's setting will not be in North America.
