"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" is receiving huge new features in the next few weeks. It includes two new maps, a single-player campaign and many more!
The game's creator Brendan Greene revealed to Game Informer the developer is looking at the addition of a single-player campaign as part of a future update. Greene said that he would prefer a story campaign that would focus on the history of the island, and emphasized the importance of a lore in creating it.

As of now, he admits that there is no "serious lore" that exists. "If we were going to do a single-player campaign then maybe the history of the island would come into it," he said via Daily Express.
His original idea is to have something that is similar to "Watch Dogs kind of game based on the island" since there is this Russian island and traces of the military occupation. He sees it as a busy island with military occupation and players with five friends can play a campaign that is set in the '70s.
Players can set out to capture each area on the island and save the island from the military occupation. He admitted that this is just his ideas but it is not final or official as of now. "That was my concept of it.... no plans for it yet, [but] that's my big dream," said Greene.
The latest content for the game added a new sniper rifle, a motorbike, gameplay enhancements, and bug fixes. Full patch notes can be viewed via the game's Steam community page.
"Player Unknown's Battlegrounds" is available now on PC while PS4, Xbox One versions are expected to launch soon. Arriving ahead of PS4 release are new vehicles, custom game modes, and new maps where one is located in an island on the Adriatic Sea.
