Death Stranding updates and its development remain to be elusive up to now. Though the game has been highly expected for its E3 2017 appearance, game director Hideo Kojima abruptly pulled the plug, leaving the audience with an enigmatic web star to ponder.
Many fans and gamers were looking forwards to the E3 2017 event for the purpose of gaining more knowledge about the highly speculated and anticipate new Kojima video game. However, to their dismay, the game director announced via Twitter that his game would not be seen in the said event.

In an enigmatic manner, Kojima simply apologized to fans for "Death Stranding" will not be showcased at the said expo. The reason behind such cancellation has been associated with the focus that Kojima and his team has been giving to the development of the game.
Although the press conference appearance of "Death Stranding" has been moved to a non-specific date, the renowned game director still invited fans to view his interview with Geoff Kneighly on June 14. Other details concerning the cancellation and even further updates may be revealed during the interview.
Aside from the statement given by Kojima, his announcement was also accompanied by another enigmatic clue. Along with the message was a poster with the word "Bridges" beneath a spider web forming a star, according to GameSpot.
As a result of such enigmatic image, fans started to speculate on its meaning. Some fans took to Reddit their observations about the spider web image.
Some Redditors suggested that the image is some kind of morse code. Moreover, others suggested that the spider web somehow represents some kind of a drug.
A more interesting theory claimed that the five edges of the spider web represent the "five floating figures" observed on the game's first trailer. This somehow represents the idea that the game somehow involves the creation of a fake reality, which gamers should try to escape from.
