The Horizon Lunar Colony map in "Overwatch" is an assault-type map set on a huge moon base. Most of the map takes place inside the lunar colony where Winston was raised, but portions of it take place on the surface of the moon itself, which means players will have experience low gravity gameplay along the way.
The upcoming "Overwatch" map will have places familiar to anyone that has seen Winston’s animated short as gamin fans will be able to see the Winston's room, the huge telescope room where he first saw Earth, and other areas featured in the short. Scattered about the colony will be various items related to Winston and his backstory, as well as clues as to what happened to make gorilla scientist abandon his home for Earth.
Blizzard will also release several in-game updates for "Overwatch" alongside the new map and are currently tested in the game's latest PTR. Some significant hero tweaks are being tested, with McCree and Reaper possibly getting buffed, whereas Roadhog is facing a significant nerf, Polygon reported.
There are also rumors that the Horizon Lunar Colony map might introduce the next DLC hero in "Overwatch" in the form of chimpanzee support hero named Hammond.
Meanwhile, it seems that the "Overwatch" team is developing a new console function report against players who trolling into the game for sometime.
Some notable examples of this include placing Symmetra’s teleporter entrance by a cliff, not healing anyone as Mercy, or not picking a tank or healer if your team is lacking one. A lot of this is done through smurfs (alternative accounts), which are created for the sole intention of messing other gamers time during a match.
Game director Jeff Kaplan stated that penalties for boosting and throwing are about to increase dramatically in "Overwatch" and urged players to keep reporting these incidents as he and his team are working on the console report function for the console, but they are not yet done with it.
Kaplan added that his team is working on reticle colors and options for "Overwatch's" upcoming patch update. When the crosshair options issue first came up, gamers wanted crosshairs that are more similar to "CS:GO" or "Team Fortress 2."
Having the crosshair types from these games makes it a little easier for players to transition over to "Overwatch" in terms of gameplay and adaptation, PvP Live reported.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
