Xiaomi has officially announced two new smartphones, Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 4S. The specifications, features, release date and price of both smartphones have been officially declared.

Xiaomi Mi 5

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is a flagship smartphone from the company. It comes with a stunning design that inspired from MI Note. It comes with an impressive metallic frame and 3D ceramic body. It is blessed with a dust and waterproof chassis. It has a slim profile of 7.5 mm and weighs only 129 grams, Phone Arena reported.

The Xiaomi MI 5 is packed with a 5.15-inch Quad HD IPS screen. The Sunlight technology of the display allows the device to automatically control its brightness when it is used outdoors.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available in three storage models of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. All the three models will be driven by Snapdragon 820 chipset. The 32 GB and 64 GB models feature 3 GB of RAM whereas the 128 GB variant comes with 4 GB of RAM.

The rear camera of the Xiaomi MI 5 is of 16 MP and its equipped with features like 4-axis OIS, 4K resolution video shooting, and phase detection autofocus. On the front side, it features a 4 MP camera. The physical Home button houses a fingerprint scanner.

Some of the connectivity features of the Xiaomi Mi 5 include USB Type-C, VoLTE, NFC and WI-FI. It features a 3000 mAh battery that is equipped with Quick Charge 2.0 support.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 will release on March 1. The 32 GB and 64 GB models with 3 GB of RAM are priced at $305 and $351, respectively. The 128 GB model with 4 GB of RAM will be available for $413.

Xiaomi Mi 4S

Xiaomi Mi 4S is a budget smartphone that is priced at $260. It comes with glass panels on the front and rear sides and it features a metallic frame. The Mi 4S is available with colors like black, white, and gold. It is considered as an upgraded version of Xiaomi Mi 4i, GSM Arena reported. The smartphone measures 139.2 x 70.7 x 78 mm and its weight is 133 grams.

It comes with specs like 5.5-inch full HD display. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 808 chipset and 3 GB of RAM. Unlike Xiaomi Mi 4, Xiaomi Mi 4i and Xiaomi Mi 4i, the newer Mi 4S smartphone comes with microSD card storage support. It comes with 64 GB of storage.

It is a dual-SIM smartphone that comes with connectivity features such as 4G+, VoLTE, 3G and USB Type-C. It is preloaded with Android 6.0 and MIUI 7. The Xiaomi Mi 4S is packed with a battery of 3260 mAh battery.
