In Feb. 27, Pokémon franchise celebrated the 20^th year anniversary of their debut in Japan. In line with this celebration, the 3DS versions of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow were released. All three games are now available in Nintendo 3DS eShop across Europe and the United States. Apart from having the game in English version, Spanish and French languages are parts of the selections as well.

The game consoles sells at US$9.99 each, a bit higher than the typical Game Boy or Game Boy Color on eShop. Considering the fact that the game needed to go through major overhaul to let the gamers perform Wi-Fi trading, the price would be reasonable. Also, the changes in the game needed to adapt to the capability to transfer them to the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon using the Pokémon Bank, according to Attack of the Fan Boy.

To those who are used to playing Pokémon Red and Blue in Game Boy color, there will be a noticeable difference in the game face because Red and Blue doesn't have color filters.

It wouldn't be surprising if there are people who will think twice or even many times in getting these sentimental Pokémon games. It's a bit pricey for an old game, but for old times' sake, Pokémon's revival is worth all the value and time according to avid fans. 3DS version of Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow offers more convenience in playing the game, better than the original Game Boy or Game Boy Color. However, one down side of this latest version is that the usual glitches and other issues are still present.

Nerdist confirmed that the Restore points feature of the game is disabled in this virtual console version. It means that players cannot save any time they want to unlike in other virtual console games which the latter permits this feature.

Although players can transfer Pokemons from the forthcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon to the Pokemon bank, Red, Blue and Yellow versions are non-transferrable in one 3DS. It would be more advisable to get all three games to get the complete feel of going back down memory lane.
