    The United States Pentagon will be inviting hackers during the next month to test the security of its computer systems by sending hack attacks. From April 12, Tuesday until May 12 select hackers can participate in the Department of Defense's (DoD) Hack the Pentagon pilot program. The goal is to find cyber-security vulnerabilities.

    YouTube launches live-streamed 360-degree videos, spatial audio before Google I/O

    YouTube announced on a blog post on April 18, Monday that users can now live-stream 360-degree videos. The new feature gives the video-streaming site's users a virtual reality (VR) experience as though they were at the live events. In March the Google-owned company launched 360 degree videos that could be viewed on smartphones or a VR headset, but live streams were not available.

    Verizon's next-generation TV could include an Internet-based set-top box system that replaces FiOS. Its new IP TV service will reportedly be tested in a current FiOS market sometime this year. Verizon's new TV service would probably center on a new set-top box as the wireless carrier just filed a patent application with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that includes Internet video tech provided by Intel a few years ago.

    Apple orders Samsung’s OLED display panels for next iPhone: Report

    Apple could reportedly purchase organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display panels from Samsung for its next iPhone. One report shows that Samsung Display has made a deal to supply 100 million 5-inch OLED screens to Apple each year and possibly for multiple years. The deal would be worth $2.6 billion and production would start in Q2 of 2017, but Apple is reportedly not willing to sign a three-year deal with the South Korean conglomerate.

The last date to make iTunes Allowance deposits was April 14, Thursday, while the feature will officially end on May 25.

    Apple's stock prices dropped after the tech giant reported that it would extend a 30 percent slash of iPhone production for another quarter ending in June. A report that iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus sales have been lower than projected caused Apple stocks to dip 2.1 percent on April 15, Friday. The company just unveiled a 4-inch iPhone SE to boost sales before rolling out the iPhone 7 later this year.
