The latest details for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature new leaked fighters in the roster and X-Men characters not added to the sequel.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding a new set of leaked characters coming to the roster of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite courtesy of NeoGaf username Ryce.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will have 28 playable fighters and like previous titles, both sides will be balanced in order to each include 14 fighters representing Marvel and Capcom, respectively. According to Ryce, the Marvel characters include Ant-Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Gamora, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Nova, Rocket/Groot, Spider-Man, Thanos,Thor and Ultron.
As for the Capcom side, they will consist of Arthur, Chris Redfield, Chun-Li, Dante, Firebrand, Jedah, Mega Man X, Monster Hunter, Morrigan, Nemesis, Ryu, Nathan Spencer, Strider Hiryu and Sigma.
In addition, Ryce also pointed out "Dead Rising" hero Frank West and Spider-Man villain Venom will be joining the roster at some point. With West being the taking the final slot on the Capcom side, while Venom will be a DLC characters similar to Sigma, Gamerant reported.
Gaming fans also noticed something on the new "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" roster leak and that is the absence of X-Men characters in the Marvel side, considering they have been a part of the franchise.
Game producer Mike Evans stated before that the Marvel siide will not restricted to just characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe leading to the possibility of adding the X-Men and the Fantasic Four into the game.
Capcom also teased that characters like Asura in "Asura's Wrath" and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel could be added as possible DLC characters in their future plans, Metro reported.
Evans also added that the roster of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" was already "set in stone" and the potential leaked list could be an early draft of the game, since the developers have not made any statement about it.
Capcom will likely reveal more details for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" the month during E3 2017 on June 13-15 and CEO 2017 on June 16-18.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch on Sept. 19 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
