Xperia Z series seems to have done enough good for the company by bringing in the technologies possessed by Sony into the smartphones. Sony sets out to begin a new chapter in its journey with Xperia X series.

The Japanese technology giant Sony seems to have done away with its high-end models in Z series. The company has been releasing nearly two models every year in this product line, and if you are waiting for Z6 to be out in the market anytime soon, hold your breaths and look into the newest breathtaking technologies of Sony into its new product line Xperia X.

According to The Bit Bag, US saw the launch of Z5 and Z5 compact launch earlier this month and the company intends to kill its Xperia Z line. However, there is not much clear about the company's intent on how long shall it be supporting its customers who already are in the possession of Z series.

Sony Mobile, in its statement at Xperia Blog, made it clear that the Xperia Z reached culmination and the new chapter in the evolution of its product begins with Xperia X. With Xperia Z series, Sony has tried to bring its technology smartly into smartphones, and with new Xperia X series, the company shall be bringing in adaptive and smart user experience in cameras, batteries, hardware and software design.

However, Jun Makino, senior product marketing manager at Sony Mobile, refused to comment on Xperia X's future in an interview with uSwitch, but made sure that Z6 shall not be released by the company. This shows the company's intent to focus on its X series of phones, which have caught limelight in the recent Mobile World Congress, held at Barcelona, Spain earlier in 2016.

With Xperia Z series dead, Z6 wait is over as of now, but let's see how Sony grabs the market share and attracts new customers through its X series.
