Amazon clarified that their new game engine's restrictions can definitely be waived under very special circumstances.
Amazon announced a new game engine free for use, but with many restrictions. However, the company has clarified later that they will waive the restrictions in case of any zombie outbreak. The decision to announce the restrictions, and the later announcement of its conditional waiving, made the launching of the product a hot topic. In addition, the product got a positive publicity in the very first day, as expected by the company.

Amazon's Cry Engine based game offers all freedom to the developers, but at the same time, restrict certain users. The company clearly mentions that this should not be used with safety critical or life critical systems. Or in other words, this should not be used in the operation of medical equipments, nuclear facilities, manned aircrafts, military installations etc., as per the clause number 57. 10 of the AWS terms of Amazon.
However, the said restrictions can be waived, but under very special circumstances only. According to the company, there should be a widespread viral infection, either transmitted through bites or through contact of certain body fluids. These fluids are capable of reanimating human corpses and to seek to eat human flesh. These fluids are capable of destructing the entire human civilization.
Now, the gravity of the seriousness might have been understood by each and every body. Similarly, everybody might have understood when the restrictions will be waived.
Anyway, it is always better to hope that such a situation will never occur and the company will not waive off the restrictions. Life is always precious than a game engine. However, this announcement caught attention of the public and became viral in social media networks. It seems that the strategy had worked well as per the expectations of the think tank behind it.
On other Amazon news, the company announced a stock buyback program worth $5 billion to show that they care about their stockholders. It is said that financing the buyback program is not a problem, since Amazon generated $15.9 billion in 2015 and has accumulated $7.3 billion earnings this year.
