The latest details for "Injustice 2" will feature a new DC character next week and a new story trailer on Thursday.
NetherRealm Studios announced a new DC character joining the growing roster of "Injustice 2" on Monday March 13 and YouTube channel UpUpDownDown will be the first to get the latest scoop on who is the new hero/villain introduced in the sequel, IDigital Times reported.
UpUpDownDown is a video game channel hosted by Austin Creed, who famously known as New Day member Xavier Woods in the Word Wrestling Entertainment or WWE. The channel posted a teaser of Creed's visit to NetheRealm Studios along with fellow WWE Superstars Kofi Kingston, current WWE Raw Women's Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks and will be revealing the new "Injustice 2" character joining the roster.
NetherRealm Studios previously announced Kent Nelson a,k.a. Doctor Fate to the "Injustice 2" roster joining the likes of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Black Canary, Blue Beetle, Aquaman, Swamp Thing, Robin, Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Deadshot, Catwoman, Cheetah, Poison Ivy, Bane, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, Braniac and Darkseid.
While it is unknown, as to which DC character could join "Injustice 2" several rumored heroes and villains are hinted in the game such as John Constantine, Captain Cold, The Atom, Firestorm, Ra's Al Ghul, Red Tornado, Black Adam and many more.
In other news, NetherRealm Studios will be releasing a second story trailer for "Injustice 2" this week.
The official "Injustice 2" Twitter page tweeted that part 2 of the "Shattered Alliances" story trailer will be posted on Thursday March 9 and it features Batman fighting Cyborg, Aquaman and Robin.
The first story trailer revealed the arrival of Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El/Supergirl on Earth and finds out that Kal-El is in prison for his crimes in the first "Injustice" game. Supergirl at one point will battle Wonder Woman, while other heroes like Batman are trying to prevent Superman's escape and the rise of his Regime, unaware that new forces are coming into conflict.
The story trailer also revealed Braniac as a narrator and possible main villain of "Injustice 2" as his presence will have a huge impact on the sequel's story.
Previous reports revealed that the Gear System in "Injustice 2" will have new items and augmentations for each DC character.
Game producer Ed Boon teased that "Injustice 2" could have a Tournament mode that will disable the equipment of each DC character, as several players are worried that the Gear System will be a disadvantage to gamers who are new to the game, Polygon
Boon added that there will not be any gear sold as DLC, and that online play will allow players to choose opponents that either use or do not have any gear.
"Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
